The AfterSpirit website has been online since 12/26/2007. It was created by the company founder, Rob L. Dey.

In order to maintain compatibility with the multitude of computing platforms, such as laptops, desktops, gaming consoles, mobile phones, PDAs, and other portable and handheld devices along with their web browsers (user agents and layout engines) that are surfing the internet today, we have incorporated a vast range of web technologies as we developed our website. Some of these advanced client-side and server-side technologies include: HTML, XHTML, DHTML, SHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, SSI, ASP, VBScript, and others.

On the client-side, this website primarily uses common file formats, such as XHTML 1.0 Transitional (almost Strict with target attribute allowed), which ensures cross-browser operation in Standard mode rather than Quirks mode and CSS 2.1 (CSS 1 with hover pseudo-class allowed). This dynamic HTML (DHTML) website design includes a minimal amount of external JavaScript (for non-critical features) and consists of tableless and frameless webpages.

On the server-side, this website is easily maintained by using SSI "include" files with "SHTML" filename extensions. Classic ASP coded in VBScript rounds off a few small server-side applications to help deliver a smoother, seamless "user-rich" experience.
